Our 8 month old will not drink his bottle! He will eat cereal off a spoon
mixed
with formula and will eat fruits and veggies. The doctors are concerned that
he
is not getting enough formula?
We've tried everything from flavoring the formula to using a cup, all has
failed!
Any ideas?
Dear Feeding problem,
Please just continue feeding your child his formula mixed in the cereal.
Whatever is in your formula that you want him to eat will get where it
does the most good whether he eats it in the cereal or drinks it through
a rubber nipple.
As for all those concerned doctors, unless your baby is sick, I can't
understand why you would have them telling you what to feed him. One is
enough - just one friendly pediatrician or your usual family doctor.
I've been so slow trying to think of how to say this diplomatically that
by the time you get this letter your baby will have solved the problem
himself. He will have pitched the bottle out the car window and will be
enjoying his apples and oranges and growing healthy as he should. As for
vegetables (please NOT veggies) aren't you fortunate that he likes them
too.
Your problem is not your son, it is those doctors.
