Granny's Advice By Rosaleen Dickson, BA, MJ
- Dear Great Granny.
-
I am having a hard time disciplining my three year old. She defies me all the time. I feel like I am always yelling at her.
I am at my wits ends. She is good for everybody else except me. I can tell her no four times and she will do it again. She is very stubborn I need help.
Please email me what to do.
Thank u

Stop yelling at her. Speak softly. Sit down with her and let her do most of the talking. Pay attention to what she says.
Probably "everybody else" isn't trying to run her life. Stop saying "no" - try "yes" for a change. Your purpose as a parent is not to "discipline" her but to encourage her to be brave and strong and to believe in herself. Don't wait until she is an adult - start now.
Good luck.
GG
