For Our Grandparents -
Today and Always
Somewhere in the library,
Way back among the shelves,
Or downtown in the book store,
In a section by themselves,
Are little books of poetry
All about great folks.
Some are serious, some sad,
And others full of jokes.
But never have I seen a book
That told the story of
What grandparents mean to us,
And how they show their love.
For every year and every day,
Whatever we may do,
We know that they will pray for us
And always see us through.
And every moment every way,
Wherever I may be,
My grandparents will always stand,
Right there, supporting me.
There is no way we can repay,
The strength that you bestow,
Just by being there for us,
No matter where we go.
Dear, dear grandparents
All we can ever do
Is hope you understand the love
We always feel for you.
